About Acutec

14 specialists. One address. 31 years of doing this.

We are a security and compliance company that also delivers managed IT support. Based in Coleshill, Birmingham. Founded in 1995. Still independent. Still answering the phone.

The story

Before the internet
was useful,
we were already here.

ACUTEC was founded in 1995 — two years before Google existed, five years before most businesses had a website, and a decade before anyone used the word "cloud" to mean something other than weather. We've built, broken, and fixed technology through every major platform shift since.

We're based in St Peters House, Church Hill, Coleshill — and that hasn't changed. We're independently owned. No venture capital, no private equity, no churn targets. The businesses that sponsor conferences and claim to be the future of IT are often gone within five years. ACUTEC has been here for thirty.

The strategic decision we made recently is worth stating plainly: we are a security and compliance company that delivers managed IT support. Not the other way around. That changes what we prioritise, what we invest in, and what we tell clients when they ask where to spend their budget.

Our position

“We secure your business. Then we keep it running.” That’s not a tagline. It’s the order in which we think. Security first. Infrastructure second. Everything else follows.

The team

The people who
answer when you call.

No offshore helpdesk. No call centre. Fourteen people, all based in Coleshill, all with real names and real accountability.

Leadership
CR
Chris Roche
Managing Directory

Chris founded ACUTEC and has led the business through thirty years of technology change. His focus is on the strategic direction of the company and the client relationships that have kept 400+ businesses with us. The decision to lead with security — not IT support — is his.

CL
Craig Langman
Chief Technical Officer

Craig is the technical authority at ACUTEC and Chris’s operational right hand. He oversees the helpdesk, works alongside Chris on client development, and provides the technical credibility behind the sales conversations. The person who knows where everything is and why.

NF
Neil Fletcher
Technical Director

Neil leads the technical infrastructure and security practice. He built ACUTEC’s internal security programme — we’re pursuing ISO27001 internally because Neil believes you shouldn’t sell a standard you haven’t held. The person supply chain compliance clients speak to first.

Why trust ACUTEC with this

We hold the credentials
we advise you to hold.

Cyber Essentials Plus
Independently verified, not self-assessed. ACUTEC holds CE+ ourselves and we are an IASME-accredited certification body — we assess and certify other businesses directly.
↗ We certify others — not just advise
Microsoft Solutions Partner
Modern Work & Security specialisation. Microsoft independently verifies our technical capability, customer satisfaction, and training investment. Not a reseller licence.
↗ Fewer than a handful of MSPs in the West Midlands hold it
ISO27001 — In Progress
We are pursuing ISO27001 internally. IASME Stage 1 complete, Stage 2 underway. Target September 2026. We do not sell standards we have not held ourselves.
↗ One of very few MSPs in the region to hold it
In the community

West Midlands
is where we
come from.

We’re not a national brand with a regional office. We’re a West Midlands business — our clients are local, our team is local, and our community investment is local.

ACUTEC is a patron of the Albion Foundation, the official charity of West Bromwich Albion FC. The Foundation runs programmes supporting physical and mental wellbeing, resilience, and positive development for people facing challenges including disability, illness, and isolation. The overlap between what they stand for and what we stand for — supporting people and businesses to be more resilient — felt right.
